Rev. Larry Krishnek Inaugurated

The New Western Subregional Director

Last Sunday, January 28 at L.A. Family Church

The Los Angeles Family Church was honored to host the inauguration of Rev. Larry Krishnek as Western Subregional Director on Sunday, January 28, 2018.

President of Family Federation for a Heavenly USA Rev. Richard Buessing and Mrs. Marjorie Buessing had come to Los Angeles to attend the ceremony. The church hall was filled with people from not only Los Angeles (including the local branch of the Korean Evangelical Association) but also San Diego, Arizona, Hawaii, and even some states of the East Coast.

Rev. Young Tack Yang, district pastor of District 12, led the program as the emcee. Dr. Nicholas Benson, pastor at the First Summit Evangelical Church in the city of Pasadena and co-chair of the American Clergy Leadership Conference (ACLC), offered congratulatory remarks. He testified to the works of True Parents and encouraged everyone to follow the way of God. Then four high school students presented bouquets to Rev. and Mrs. Buessing and to Rev. Krishnek and Mrs. Akemi Krishnek.

During his inaugural address, Rev. Krishnek spoke about his personal journey to the life of faith and dedication, which began at the age of 25. His testimony and sincere heart toward True Parents moved the hearts of the audience, as he told them about the hope of God and True Parents for the United States.

A beautiful congratulatory song, The Beatles’ Here Comes the Sun, was offered by Laura and Eric Ross, a young Unificationist couple.

Making his first official visit to Los Angeles in his new position as National President of Family Federation for a Heavenly USA, Rev. Buessing said he was happy to see the congregation filling the church hall, even to the balcony. He testified about the great experiences had by participants of the recent seven-day Japanese-language workshop at the International Peace Education Center (IPEC) in Las Vegas.

When the time came to pray for Rev. and Mrs. Krishnek, Rev. Buessing asked everyone to connect to the prayer on the stage by resting a hand on the shoulder of the nearest person. A deep prayer was offered to welcome the new beginning for the western subregion under its new director, Rev. Krishnek.

Rev. Kazuo Takami, the district pastor of Hawaii, led four cheers of victory.

Matt Ishizuka invited the local members of the Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles (CARP) to come to the front of the hall to dance as the L.A. Band played the joyous Every Praise by Bishop Hezekiah Walker. As a surprise final song, the band played the Korean song Mujokeon (Unconditionally) accompanied by the powerful dance of the young people.

Thank you.
