Honoring the HS grads and their parents
new! Parents, please pick up the gift for your HS graduate! One DP Book and a bag of candles (seed holy candle & long candle, holy lighter in a bag). Available at Pasadena House from Monday, June 8 through Saturday, June 13 during the daytime. Pick up a DP book and a bag, checkmark “picked up” on the list. You don’t need to see anyone.
Dear Parents,
Our entire church community would like to celebrate your son or daughter moving into a new, more mature position in the community through the Annual Roots and Wings Ceremony.
All of our high school graduates will be entering a new stage in their life, and face exciting new adventures and challenges as young adults. Whether they have chosen employment, college, public service, or anything else, our desire is to support them wholeheartedly on their journey.
On Sunday, June 14th we will join together as a congregation to honor these young men and women and the unique contributions that they have made to our community, as part of our special roots and wings ceremony.
If you choose to participate in, we need your help in doing the following immediately:
1) Submit photos (preferably electronically):
a. One baby or child hood photo of your child
b. A high school graduation photo or any recent photo
c. One photo of your entire family together
2) If your child is unable to participate in the ceremony, please send photos so they can be included in our slide show.
Please email your photos and, videos or written statements to Jennifer Pierce, jennifer.pierce926@gmail.com. Please plan to participate and be moved deeply by the beautiful "Roots and Wing Ceremony" on Sunday, June 14th. We will keep you updated on the time and location (possibly through zoom)
