WFWP Appreciates Your Support!

Thank you for supporting Her Tribe & Schools of Africa

A message of Gratitude

Dear Sisters and Friends,

Warm greetings of peace and appreciation!

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to each of you who joined our “Her Tribe Special Gathering” on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the L.A. Family Church.

With a warm welcome from Meagan Robles, Chairwoman of WFWP Los Angeles, we began our gathering centered on the beautiful theme of honoring Chuseok, the Korean Thanksgiving. Together, we reflected on Mother Moon’s inspiring words about this meaningful tradition and how we can embody its spirit of gratitude, unity, and peace in our everyday lives as peacebuilders.

We deeply appreciate the sisters who shared their unique cultural and family traditions during the harvest season. Your heartfelt stories reminded us of the richness of our diverse backgrounds and the shared values that connect us all.

We were also touched by your thoughtful feedback:

“Thank you for inviting me to this meeting. I was very moved by Mother Moon's speech about Chuseok (see the reading below). It was selected thoughtfully.”

“I was glad that I could meet with sisters whom I haven't met close before. I thank Meagan for standing up to lead WFWP-LA. I am looking forward to seeing WFWP grow with her leadership. I also enjoyed making the origami rabbit after the program—it was such a fun addition. Thank you.”

Your participation, open hearts, and warm energy made this gathering truly special.

We also thank for your generous contributions for Schools of Africa - including sewing materials, writing supplies, manicure art tools, aprons, and monetary gifts — reflect the spirit of love and service that unites our WFWP community. These thoughtful contributions, offered by many brothers and sisters, will soon reach those in need. Chairwoman Meagan Robles will personally bring them to Rwanda with the WFWP delegation, departing on November 2.

May the spirit of gratitude and sisterhood, friendship, continue to guide us as we work together to create a world of lasting peace.

With love and appreciation,
WFWP Los Angeles Team

Reading from Mother Han’s Peace Philosophy

We are approaching the season of the Chuseok holiday [Korean harvest festival]. In just four days we will celebrate this most important holiday. As a people of an agrarian culture, the Korean people revered Heaven. On this autumn holiday, they expressed their gratitude to Heaven for blessing them with an abundant harvest from their year-long labor in the fields, and paid their respects to their ancestors. Our people share this very beautiful custom wherein parents and siblings come together, gaze at the full moon, and share love with one another for the complete reign of peace in the family.

When can we, humanity, return to that original place? Human history has been a history of conflict and war as a result of egoism and self-centered greed unrelated to God, our Creator. And to this day, wars continue to be waged. The human race, however, must return to its original position. In order to do so, all people need to realize that God, the Creator and Center of this universe, wishes to become the Parent of humanity.

During the Korean Chuseok holiday, the Korean people watch the full moon together, and revere Heaven. Siblings living far apart also come together and express their gratitude to Heaven and to their parents. It is a time when the entire neighborhood comes together as well. If such a world, with no anxiety and worry, isn’t the Kingdom of Heaven on earth, what could be?
