Beginner Surf Camp Brings Fun, Adventure, and Fellowship

For the first time, a Beginner Surf Camp was held in June, coinciding with the completion of One Heart Camp. Led by dedicated staff members Jack Ashworth and Dan and Jason Hallal, participants enjoyed two memorable days of surfing, sand, and sunshine at Dockweiler State Beach.

After lunch each day, campers divided into two groups for additional adventures—one group went fishing off the coast of Palos Verdes, while the other set sail from Marina del Rey.

More than 20 campers participated each day, ranging in age from 5 to 60 years old. The camp also welcomed six adventurous participants who traveled all the way from the Bay Area to join the fun.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this inaugural Beginner Surf Camp a great success! Be sure to mark your calendars for the Advanced Surf Camp in Orange County, taking place August 16–18.
