HJ CheonBo Event in LA

There will be a set fee per person which includes attending Chanyang session, lectures, lunch & dinner on Saturday.

Donation payment will be accepted in cash and checks payable to HSA-UWC on Friday, August 14, the day before Liberation Ceremony (August 15). Please note that Liberation application & payment deadline is August 14. (All liberation applications on or after August 15 needed to be re-applied at the future event.)

(3) Tentative Schedule:
FRI, August 14: 6 pm Doors open - stop by at the check-in table, 7 pm Opening, Lecture, Chanyang Session (There is NO MEAL ON FRIDAY.)
SAT, August 15: 8 am Doors open, 9 am - 6 pm. Lectures, Chanyang Session, Liberation Ceremony. (Lunch and Dinner will be provided.)
SUN, August 16: Possible Bonus: Chanyang Session @9:00 am. We will have the usual Sunday Service at 10 am.

Please note that only HJ CheonBo event participants can apply for Special Ansu and Ancestor/Collateral Liberation. Register the event first if you haven’t done so yet.

Special Ansu (a session is now 20 minutes long)
We are expecting two Ansu Sisters for Special Ansu sessions. These sessions will take place outside of the event program times. Online signup form will be available soon. If you wish to receive Special Ansu, here is how you can prepare before you signup:

Attire: White T-shirt, Bottom can be anything thin, shorts are ok.
Please bring the following to your session:
Completed form (please fill it out before arriving)
Your own towels to cover the pillow and mattress (recommended for comfort and hygiene)
Love offering as a token of gratitude (cash is preferred)
After the session, please write your reflection/testimony.

Q: Do we have Ancestor Blessing Ceremony?
A: No. We’re sorry, but this time we do not have a Blessing Ceremony.
Q: I have small children. Can we all attend the Chanyang session?
A: Absolutely! Everyone is welcome to join the Chanyang session, regardless of age. We kindly ask participants to wear a white t-shirt and dark pants. Young children are more than welcome, but they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Q: I am a new member. Can I attend the HJ CheonBo Event?
A: Welcome! Yes, you are absolutely welcomed to attend. Enjoy participating in Chanyang sessions, lectures about the spirit world, offering HJ Wish Papers, Special Ansu.
Q: Who can apply for Liberation of Ancestors, Collateral, and CES (Central Evil Spirit)?
A: Blessed members of age 18 and older can apply for own Ancestors' (and for spouse's Ancestors') Liberation. They can also apply for Collateral, and CES liberation for self, family members, and for anyone else (like witnessing guests or spiritual children).
Q: Can I attend only part of the program?
A: While we encourage full participation to receive the most benefit from the program, you are welcome to attend partially if needed. Please note that the registration fee remains the same regardless of how many days you attend.
Q: Walk-ins can attend?
A: YES. Register & pay the event fee at the Registration table. Walk-ins can attend Chanyang sessions and lectures. Please note that meals (lunch and dinner on Saturday) may not be guaranteed for walk-ins.
